Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement financial management systems and processes that comply with project requirements and regulations.
2. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities.
3. Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
4. Provide guidance and support to project staff on financial matters.
5. Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial statements and reports.
6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
7. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
8. Identify and mitigate financial risks.
9. Stay updated with relevant financial regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the position of Financial Specialist, you should meet the following criteria:

1. Graduate in Commerce (Accountancy/Finance).
2. Post Graduate in Commerce or MBA/PGDBM in Finance.
3. Preferably, hold CA or ICWA qualifications with an LLB degree.

Experience:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

1. A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in financial management and accounting practices.
2. At least 2 years of experience as a head of or independently in charge of finance and accounts department in a government or private organization.
3. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in working on Externally Aided Projects.

Remuneration:

The selected Financial Specialist will receive a competitive monthly remuneration ranging from Rs 1,30,000/- to 1,50,000/- based on qualifications, experience, and competency.

Age Limit:

Applicants should not exceed 50 years of age as of the application date.

Selection Procedure:

Interested candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview on 26th June 2023 from 10 AM to 5 PM at AIWTD Society, 3rd Floor, Directorate of Inland Water Transport, Ulubari, Guwahati – 7, Assam. The selection committee will assess candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and performance during the interview.
