Govt. of Assam has released the online application process for Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme 2022 or ARBAS 2022. Eligible candidates may apply online for ARBAS 2022 Award at official SEBA portal.
Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam has found that out of 22,599 eligible students, 1,060 students have not yet registered/ submitted their bank details and 2,548 students though registered but found their bank details to be incorrect/ discrepancies/ error.
Therefore, the directorate has decided to reopen the ARBAS application portal for those eligible students. The lists of such students are provided herewith and those students can submit their application within the stipulated time. The portal will be opened on 30th August 2022 from 11 AM and will remain open upto midnight of 1st September 2022.

Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme is instituted in the honour of Late Anundoram Borooah who was the 4th Indian (and the 1st Assamese) to join the prestigious ICS and the 1st Indian to be appointed as Deputy Commissioner. This award was launched by the Govt. of Assam in the year 2005 with the sole aim of enhancing healthy competition amongst the student community and to help them to enrich their perception through up-to-date knowledge and information with the help of IT education.

The Education (Secondary) Deptt., Govt. of Assam, will confer the “Anundoram Borooah Award” to the meritorious students of the State shortly. Under the award package, Anundoram Borooah Award citation in the form of a Certificate along with a Computer to each student securing Star Mark and above prescribed by the State Govt. in the HSLC and High Madrassa Examination and 10th standard examination held under the Board of Secondary Education, Assam and Sanskrit Board Assam during the year 2022.

Anundoram Borooah Award Award Scheme 2018. Anundoram Borooah Award was the first government employee of Assam. In the year 20, an award named after him was launched as the Anundoram Borooah prize project. In this project, the Assam government is providing s to tenth grade students, with very good results.
Anundoram Borooah Award 2022 List
All qualifying students who are qualified to avail the award may register online through the portal http://arbas.assam.gov.in . The applicants will have to upload the following:
1. Pass Certificate duly attested and counter signed by the Head of the Institution from which the applicant passed out in PDF file format.
2. A self attested passport size photograph of the applicant in JPG file format.
The students availing the award are requested to follow the instructions available along with the application form before submitting the application online through http://arbas.assam.gov.in

Details of ARBAS Award Scheme
Till the year 2019, all the eligible students of Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme received 1 computer along with 2 years 3G/ 4G Internet Connection Subscription, a certificate and Books on all subject as per NCERT course in PDF format and Digital Content (2D/3D Animation, Audio/Video ) for each stream and On-line Coaching and Score Improvement System (OLCSIS) for Science Students.
Eligibility Criteria of ARBAS Scheme
Educational Qualification & Percentage: Students who have secured Star Marks or 75% or more in HSLC, Higher Madrassa and FM Examinations conducted by SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are eligible to submit application for this scheme.
Year of passing: Students must have passed his/her qualifying examination with the mentioned percentage in 2022.
Examination Board: Students who passed their qualifying examination from SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are only eligible to submit application for this scheme.

Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Anundoram Borooah Awards, which was started in 2005, have benefited a total 3,73,855 students till now and it has become one of the flagships schemes of the government.
Counting numerous steps taken by the state government to develop the education sector of Assam, Sarma highlighted the achievement of Assam grabbing 5th position in the country’s literacy rankings and 2nd position in taking education to the doorsteps of people.
“The state’s students have shown better performance in national level exams in recent years and Assam has become one of the top states in spending up to 6 percent of its GDP for education and health sectors,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
