Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated below and carrying usual allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

1. Inspector of Factories under Labour & Employment Deptt.
Number of Post : 2(Two)( Reserved for STP as per Assam SC & ST(RVSP) Act, 2012 as amended.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 12000/- to Rs. 40000/- PB-4 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- PM plus other allowances as per existing norms.
Age limit: Candidates must not be below 23(Twenty three) years and above 43(Forty three) years as on 01/ 01/2017. The upper age is further relaxable by another 5 years as per Govt. OM No.ABP.06/2016/04, dtd 03-03-2016.
Educational Qualification: Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology, Preferably Mechanical/Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Candidates Should have practical experience of 2 (Two) years in a workshop or manufacturing concern of good standard.
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Public Works Deptt.
Number of Post: 54 (Fifty Four) Nos.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 12000/- to 40,000/- PB-4 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/- plus. other allowances as admissible under the rules of the Govt. Of Assam.
Age limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 43 years as on 01-01-2017. The upper. age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/STP/STH/PWD candidates as per Govt. OM No. ABP.06/2016/04,dated 03-03- 2016.
Educational Qualification:- Bachelor degree in Civil Engixeering of an Indian or foreign University recognized by the Government.
Or
Passed parts A&B of the Associate Membership Examination of the institution of Engineers (India) and possessing a Certificate to that affect from the institution of Engineers (India).

HOW TO APPLY
a. The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form.
b. Application form may be obtained by downloading the same from the APSC’s website www.apsc.nic.in.
c. The last date of receiving duly filled up application form in the Commission’s office is fixed on 6/04/2017 during office hours.
d. Applications (including applications received through post) received after the last date fixed for receipt shall not be entertained.
e. Only applications which are signed by the candidates and accompanied by all particulars as called for in the application form prescribed by the Commission only shall be considered and candidates fulfilling all the terms of the advertisement of the respective posts shall be called for a Screening test / Viva-voce interview where necessary as decided by the Commission.
f. (i) All candidates, whether in Government Service or in Government owned undertaking or other similar organizations/Corporations/boards/ or in private employment may intimate their controlling authority instead of routing it through the same. However, the fact of the intimation may be apprised to the Commission by the candidate.
(ii) The Commission shall in no way be responsible in the event of any candidate after appointment is not released by the concerned authority to enable him/her to join the new post.
HOW TO FILL UP THE FORM
a. Applicants must affix 1 (One) copy of recent photograph on the space provided in the application form firmly with good quality glue/adhesive and also should enclose another copy along with the application. The photograph must be signed prominently. The Commission shall not be responsible for detachment/ loss of the photograph.
b. Since the practice of furnishing attested copies of certificates/mark sheets etc. by competent authority has been discontinued by the Govt., the applicant shall furnish copies of certificate/mark sheet etc. declared by himself/herself as certified to be true copy of the original along with the application.
c. In case of detection of any false declaration statement made by any applicant, his/her application will be rejected and will also be penalized as per Rules/Law. Self attested photocopies of Certificate / Mark Sheet from HSLC onwards and also Caste Certificate / Registration Certificate / Experience Certificate (where necessary) should be furnished invariably and should be tagged properly without any chance of getting lost during transit. The Commission will not be responsible for any such loss due to improper tagging.
d. Further, it has been decided that in certain cases candidates whose applications are found to be short of caste/age/pass certificates etc will be given 10(ten) days time to submit the aforesaid documents to the commission from the date of publication of the notification (Select/Reject List) in this regard. If any candidate fails to furnish the same within the stipulated period of time, his/her candidature will be rejected summarily and no further request will be entertained.
