1. Position: Director of Economics & Statistics Department: Transformation and Development Department, Government of Assam

Number of Openings: 1

Salary Range: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 16,900/- per month

Qualifications for the Director of Economics & Statistics:

(a) Minimum 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics from a Recognized University or its equivalent.

OR

Degree from a Recognized University with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as a major, and a Diploma Recognized by the Government, obtained after a minimum of 2 (two) years of Post Graduate Training in Statistics.

(b) No less than 10 (ten) years of experience in Statistical Work, Investigation, or Research in a Government Department or a reputable Commercial concern. Alternatively, experience in conducting and guiding Research in Statistics in a University or Research Institute, backed by published work. Plus, a proven track record of administrative expertise for at least 5 years in a responsible capacity.

Age Limit: As of 01/01/2023, candidates should be between 35 and 45 years.

2. Position: Assistant Director Department: Directorate of Town & Country Planning, Assam Number of Openings: 8

Salary Range: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 13,300/- per month

Qualifications for the Assistant Director:

Post Graduate Degree in Planning from a recognized University/ Institution (affiliated to UGC/ AICTE/ ITPI) with a specialization in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Town Planning, City Planning, Town and Country Planning, Town and Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, Housing, Infrastructure Planning, or Environmental Planning.

Age Limit: As of 01/01/2023, candidates should be between 21 and 38 years.
