Education Minister Himanta Bishwa Sarma has already announced that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is going to distribute free textbooks to Class XII students from May 22, 2020 under the Assam Secondary Education Department.
AHSEC is the Board of Education under the Assam State Government. It is the regulatory body for Higher Secondary (10 + 2 level) education in the State of Assam. SCERT Assam AHSEC 12th Textbook 2020 reveals the purpose of educating government collage and private collage students.

Free Textbooks for Class XII will be delivered to the eligible Students from 26th May to 28th May, 2020. All students are requested to follow the COVID-19 protocols and collect Books from their respective Schools or from selected locations.
