🛕 What is the Assam Darshan Scheme?
Formally launched on 24 February 2025, the Assam Darshan Scheme aims to support and upgrade religious, spiritual, cultural and heritage institutions across the state. The funding helps improve facilities for devotees, tourists and the community.
Under this scheme, 915 religious institutions across Assam will receive financial grants of ₹10 lakh each.
Additionally, the government has expanded the scheme to include 316 tourist destinations and picnic spots, as part of the second phase.
