Assam PAT 2023 will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the exam will be two hours, and the medium of the exam will be English and Assamese. Each correct answer will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking.
The exam will cover topics from mathematics, physics, and chemistry. To score well in the exam, you need to have a thorough understanding of the concepts and practice regularly. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. [Except son/daughter of Central Govt. Employees]
- To avail Central Govt. Employee quota- The candidate must not be a Permanent Resident of Assam. The employees who are posted in Assam for less than 20 (Twenty) years on the last date of counselling or as decided by the Director of Technical Education.
- The candidate must have passed the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics and also has to pass both theory and practical/ Internal Assessment individually) with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects.
- Average marks in Mathematics and Science should be 40% for General candidates, 35% for SC candidates and 33% for ST candidates.
- Maximum age of the candidate is 20 years 6 months as on 31st December,2023 (relaxable by 3 years in case of candidate belonging to the SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category and 5 years in case of Person with Disability.)
