Assam Police Recruitment 2021: Government of Assam will release notification to fill 6,000 vacancies in Police Department: The Assam government will issue a notice within a week to fill up 6,000 vacancies of the police department comprising five commando battalions. Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sharma made the announcement in this regard on Tuesday after a meeting with police officials.

Eight important decisions on the police system in the state were taken in the review meeting.

To strengthen the police system in the state, Sharma initiated various remedial measures including 1,000 new quarters for police, infrastructure upgradation for the office of director general of police and commissioner.

Sarma tweeted, “Advertisement for 6,000 posts including 5 commando battalions will be published by next week. Vacancies of SI are also to be filled.”

“Advertisement for 6,000 posts including 5 commando battalions to be published by next week. Vacant SI posts are also to be filled up,” tweeted Sarma.

“With an aim to strengthen our policing infrastructure, a key to the safety and growth of our society, we have decided to take several reformative measures in a review meeting held at Assam police headquarters,” added Sarma.

“1,000 new quarters for police, infrastructure upgrade for DGP and Commissioner offices,” he further said.

“Settlement of as many unresolved cases as possible by March 31, 2022,” he stated.

“To review and resolve all cases dismissed by Guwahati Police without logical conclusion since 1992. The number of settled cases every month should be more than the number of freshly booked ones by Guwahati Police. Settlement of as many unresolved cases as possible by March 31, 2022,” he further stated.

“Investigation to be started within 24 hrs of lodging FIR,” he added.

“The second SP conference is to be held at Duliajan on January 8 and January 9,” he further added.

“New SOP relating to accident report, passport, post-mortem report to be released soon. Passport verification is to be completed within 30 days,” he stated.

“With a view to strengthening our police infrastructure, the key to the security and development of our society, we have decided to take several corrective measures at a review meeting held at Assam police headquarters,” Sharma said.

“1,000 new quarters for police, infrastructure up gradation for DGP and Commissioner’s Office. “Remove as many pending cases as possible by March 31, 2022,” he said. ”

“Review and resolve all cases dismissed by Guwahati police without a logical decision since 1992. The number of cases disposed of every month should be more than the number of cases newly registered by Guwahati police. As many pending cases as possible will be disposed of by March 31 by 2022,” he added.

He said an inquiry would be initiated within 24 hours of registration of THE FIR. “The second SP summit will be held on January 8 and January 9 in Duliyajan. ”
