Eligibility Criteria for Guest Faculty (History)
The recruitment follows the standard UGC norms. Candidates must fulfill either category A or B:
Category A:
- Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in History or a concerned/allied subject from a recognized Indian or Foreign University.
- Professional Qualification: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET.
- Exemption: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
Category B:
- A candidate who has obtained a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution that ranks among the top 500 in the World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU) at any time.
Selection Procedure: Walk-in-Interview Schedule
The selection for the Guest Faculty post will be conducted via a direct walk-in-interview.
