Eligibility Criteria for Assam University Guest Faculty
Candidates must fulfill the specific educational qualifications assigned to each post code (A, B, C, or D) as per the official notification.
1. For “Any Specialization” (Qualification A)
- Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline AND a Master’s Degree in Business Administration / PGDM / C.A. / ICWA / M.Com. with First Class or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years of professional experience after acquiring the Master’s degree.
2. For English (Qualification B or C)
- Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- NET/SLET/SET: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or SLET/SET.
- Exemption: Candidates with a Ph.D. Degree (awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
- OR (Qualification C): A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS, THE, or ARWU).
3. For IT / Systems (Qualification D)
- Essential: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. AND M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch.
- Condition: First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees is required.
Salary and Remuneration
Selected candidates will be compensated based on the number of lectures delivered.
- Rate: Rs. 1,500/- per lecture.
- Monthly Ceiling: Maximum Rs. 50,000/- per month.
