Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale, from a recognized University.
- Ph.D. Degree.
- Minimum of 15 years of service experience as Professor/Associate Professor in Universities/Colleges or other higher educational institutions.
- 10 Research Publications in Peer-Reviewed or UGC Sponsored Journals.
- A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix-II (Table 2) of the UGC Regulation, 2018.
- Relaxation: 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates at the Master’s level. Additionally, 5% marks relaxation may be offered to Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s degree before 19/09/1991.
Age Limit:
- The upper age limit for the candidates is 55 years as of 01/01/2024.
Term of Appointment:
- The term of Principal is 5 years as per the Government of Assam’s guidelines. However, if the serving Principal does not have sufficient service years left, they are eligible to apply for an extended term, subject to the guidelines of the Government Memo No. ECF.511514/177 dated Dispur, 28th August 2024.
