What is CTET Exam?
Central Teacher Eligibility Test is one of the entrance exams which is conducted by the Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class I to Class VIII.
TET was held for the first time in 2011 which was introduced by the Government of India in order to improve standards in teaching. For teachers already working, they are supposed to clear this entrance exam in two years time.

Eligibility Criteria of CBSE CTET Exam
Classes I-V or Primary Stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
“Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”
“(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher”.
Classes VI-VIII or Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
OR
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

CTET Exam Date Announced
The CBSE has announced the exam date of 14th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The exam schedule to be held on December in 112 cities across the country will now be held To be updated later. The Board has also increased the CTET examination cities to maintain social distance and other safety measures.
The official notice reads, “The examination will be conducted in 135 cities. The new examination cities are Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulanshahar, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar.
How to apply for CTET Examination ?
Candidates need to apply online for the CTET examination. Candidates are advised to get ready with the soft copies of the photograph and signature to apply online. The CTET application process includes filling the application form, uploading of necessary documents, application fee payment, and printing the confirmation page. Here are the steps to apply online for CTET examination.

Step 2: Click on the ”Fill Online Application Form for CTET.”
Step 3: If you are a new candidate, start with the online registration.
Step 4: Fill the online application form.
Step 5: Upload scanned photograph and signature.
Step 6: Pay the prescribed application fee.
Step 7: Submit the details.
Step 8: The confirmation page will be displayed.
Step 9: Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.

CTET Exam Pattern
This Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) consists of two papers. Candidates who choose the Paper-I will teach the Classes I to V whereas Paper-II for Classes VI to VIII. Aspirants can also apply for both the papers. The duration of each paper is two hours and thirty minutes. The exam consists of 150 objective-type questions.

CTET Admit Card 2022
The admit card is the most important document required to take the CTET examination. The CBSE has will released the CTET admit card on prior to the examination. The registered candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly to download CTET admit card.
Candidates need to enter their login credentials such as registration number or application number to download the CTET admit card. After download CTET admit card, candidates should check whether the details are correctly printed or not. In case of any discrepancy, candidates should immediately contact the CTET Unit for necessary corrections.
One should also read all the instructions printed on the CTET admit card. The most important point is candidates should report at the examination centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Candidates should also carry a photo identity card issued by the central or state government along with CTET admit card to the examination centre for verification.
