CBSE Board 10th and 12th Exam 2020: Board Officials discuss Roadmap for remaining exams, evaluation process after lockdown
According to media reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a detailed roadmap to start the assessment process along with the rest of the exams after the lock is over. The latest update from the CBSE headquarters in Delhi reveals that CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bharadwaj has held a virtual meeting with more than 100 school principals to discuss the roadmap for the pending exams as well as the assessment work to be done. The CBSE Board will resume the announcement of the results 2020. The Controller of Examinations also discussed the commencement of a new educational session and revision of the syllabus for the time lost due to the coronavirus epidemic. Following the conclusion of the discussions, the Board is expected to issue a detailed notification in this regard shortly.
On the question of pending board examinations, the minister said that exams are pending for 83 subjects out of which most are optional subjects and only 29 are main subjects. CBSE has released the list of these subjects and examination will be held after lockdown ends and some normalcy returns.
“As soon as the national lockdown will be lifted and the situation returns to the normalcy, the government will announce the schedule for holding the CBSE examination in the country,” Pokhriyal said.
Dates for Pending CBSE Board Class 10th/ 12th Exams
One of the major concerns before the CBSE Board is the holding of pending examinations for Class X and XII students. Earlier, the board had announced that pending examinations would be held for key subjects (29 subjects) important for admission in higher education institutions. In a recent meeting with the CBSE’s regulatory examination school principal, Dr Sanyam Bharadwaj reiterated this fact and said that the pending examination dates would be shared after the approval of the Ministry of Human Resource Development based on the circumstances.
Rationalization of Syllabus for CBSE 9th and 11th Class students
Amid concerns and concerns of parents and students about the start of the News Academic session on condition that the syllabus ends during the lockdown period, the board has made it clear that it will not delete any chapter from the curriculum. Instead, the board plans to cut-out several sections from existing chapters to reduce the curriculum for ninth- and eleventh-grade students.
