The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliate universities and organizations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively.
All admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2025-2026 shall be through the CLAT 2025. The Consortium of NLUs has released the CLAT 2025 application form on July 15, 2024. The last date to fill the CLAT 2025 registration is October 15, 2024. The CLAT 2025 exam will be conducted on December 1, 2024, in offline mode.

- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for the UG Programme through CLAT 2025.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
- General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories: 45% marks or its equivalent grade.
- SC/ST categories: 40% marks or its equivalent grade.
PG Programme:
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for the PG Programme through CLAT 2025.
- Educational Qualification: An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of:
- General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories: 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
- SC/ST categories: 45% marks or its equivalent grade.
