Vacancy Details

1. Junior Stenographer

No. of Posts: 4

• UR: 3
• OBC: 1

Pay: Pay Level – 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100/- as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).

Upper Age Limit: 27 years (as on 14.02.2025).

Qualification:

• 10+2 or its equivalent.
• Proficiency in stenography as per DoPT norms.

2. Junior Secretariat Assistant

No. of Posts: 8

General: 3

Finance & Accounts: 1

Stores & Purchase: 4

Pay: Pay Level – 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200/- as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).

Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as on 14.02.2025).

Qualification:

• 10+2 or its equivalent.
• Proficiency in computer typing speed and usage as per DoPT norms.

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years

Application Fee

Fee: ₹500/- (Demand Draft).

Exemptions: SC/ST/PH/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted.

Demand Draft Details:

• Drawn in favor of “Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat”, payable at Jorhat.
• Valid for at least 3 months.

Online Application Process:

1. Visit the official NEIST Recruitment Portal.
2. Complete the registration process by clicking “New Registration.”
3. Login using your credentials and fill in all personal and educational details.
4. Upload necessary documents and pay the application fee.
5. Submit the form and take a printout.

Offline Submission:

1. After online submission, send the duly signed printout of the application form along with the following documents:
   • Demand Draft (if applicable).
   • Self-attested copies of certificates, mark sheets, and testimonials.
   • Recent passport-sized photograph.
2. Address the envelope as:
