DLSA Tinsukia Recruitment 2026:

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tinsukia, has officially released a recruitment notification for the year 2026. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for filling up 02 (Two) positions of Office Assistant on a purely contractual basis. These posts are being filled under the Legal Aid Defense Counsel Scheme (Modified) 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for DLSA Tinsukia Office Assistant

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• The qualification must align with Clause 4 (d) of the Legal Aid Defense Counsel Scheme (Modified) 2022.

Technical & Other Skills

• Computer Proficiency: Basic word processing skills and ability to operate computers.
• Typing Speed: Good typing speed with the ability to set petitions properly.
• Administrative Skills: Ability to take dictation and prepare files for court presentations.
• Experience: Preference will be given to candidates having prior work experience in legal aid-related matters.

Age Limit (As on 31.01.2026)

• General: 18 to 40 Years.
• SC/ST: 18 to 45 Years.
• OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 Years.

Salary Structure

The monthly salary (Retainership fee) for the selected Office Assistants will range between ₹18,000 and ₹25,000, subject to the norms of NALSA/ASLSA and the Legal Aid Defense Counsel Scheme.

Selection Process: Three-Stage Evaluation

The selection will be strictly based on merit through the following stages:

Stage 1: Common Written Test (70 Marks)

• General English: 20 Marks
• Assamese Language: 20 Marks
• General Knowledge and Aptitude: 30 Marks
• Candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage in a 1:5 ratio.

Stage 2: Computer Skill Test (30 Marks)

• Focuses on word processing, typing speed, and file preparation.
• Candidates will be shortlisted for the final stage in a 1:3 ratio.

Stage 3: Viva-Voce

• Final personal interview to assess personality and communication skills.
