Gauhati High Court Job Vacancy Details

Name of the post: Members of Foreigners’ Tribunal of Assam

Total No. of post: 221

Qualification of the candidate:

(i) Should be a citizen of India.
(it) Retired Judicial Officers of Assam Judicial Service, or,
(iii) Retired Civil Servants (not below the rank of Secretary and Addl. Secretary) having Judicial experience, or,
(iv) Advocates not below the age of 35 years with at least 7 years of practice.
(v) The candidates will have to have fair knowledge of official language of Assam and its (Assam) historical background giving rise to foreigner’s issues.

Salary and Allowances

For Retired Civil Servants/ Retired Judicial Officers:

Last pay drawn or Minimum pay in the revised scale corresponding to the post held at the time of superannuation, whichever is higher, minus pension plus Dearness Allowance at the rate admissible to the State Government employees.

In addition, special pay @ 15% of his pay subject to a maximum of Rs.2000/- plus a special duty allowance @ 12.5% of the basic pay.

For Advocates:

Appointments of Advocates as Member, Foreigners Tribunal will be purely on contractual basis with fixed pay of Rs, 85,000/- (Rupees Eighty Five thousand) only per month. Pius other allowances as admissible under the Rules
