Gauhati Medical College & Hospital Recruitment: applications are invited from eligible candidates in standard form as published in Assam Gazzette in part IX for filing up of the following posts of 200 Bedded Cancer Hospital in Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Guwahati.
However, the candidates who have already applied in pursuance to the above mentioned advertisements need not apply again and will be eligible accordingly. They can verify their names in the website- www.gmchassam.gov.in from 06/12/2016.
Vacancy Details:
1. Receptionist
No. of post: 06 posts (UR-3, OBC-1, SC-1, STP-1)
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 +2000
Qualification: HSSLC or equivalent with Diploma in Computer Application from recognized Govt. institute with DTP certificate from Govt. recognized Institute
2. LDA –Cum-Computer Operator
No. of post: 04 posts (UN-1, OBC-1, SC-1, STP-1)
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 +2100
Qualification: HSSLC or equivalent with Diploma in Computer Application from recognized Govt. institute with DTP certificate from Govt. recognized Institute
3. Library Assistant
No. of post: 01 post (UR)
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 +2000
Qualification: Graduate with Computer knowledge.
4. Statistical Assistant
No. of post: 01 post (UR)
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 +2100
Qualification: HSSLC passed with Mathematics /Statistics with Computer Knowledge.
5. Medical Record Technician
No. of post: 02 posts (UR)
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 +2100
Qualification: HSSLC Passed with Biology & Computer Knowledge. Preference will be given to candidates having training in Medical Record Technician Training in Govt. Hospital/ Medical College.
6. Physiotherapist
No. of post: 02 posts (UR)
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 +2400
Qualification: Degree/Diploma of Physiotherapy from Govt. recognized Institute.
Age limit : Candidates should not be less than 18 (eighteen)years and not above 38(thirty eight) years as on 01.01.2016. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per existing Govt rules.
Application Fees : The applications should contain an application fees in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati of Rs.250/-( Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only for General category and OBC, MOBC candidates and Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty) only for the SC, ST(P) & ST(H) category candidates . No fee is required for BPL. candidate and they are required to enclose their BPL certificate from the competent authority for such exemption of fee along with the application.
How to apply: Application shall be addressed to the Principal-cum- Chief Superintendent. Gauhati Medical College & Hospital. Assam and have to be sent/submitted in a sealed envelope in the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam. The name of the posts should clearly he mentioned on the top of the envelop. Applications received either by post or by hand after last date of submission shall not be accepted under any circumstances.

Instruction to the Candidates :
1. Interested candidates shall have to fill up the Application Forms neatly and legibly and submit with the required documents and Photograph (Colour) duly self-attested, please note that incomplete forms shall be summarily rejected .
2. Documents required are : (a) 2 (two) copies of’ recent passport size colour photograph duly self attested
(b) HSLC admit card or birth certificate for age proof (c) all mark sheets and pass certificates (d) Caste Certificate (where applicable (e) Permanent residentship certificates (f) Employment Exchange Registration Certificate . Certificates of training experience, Extra Curricular etc.
3. The name of post applied for must clearly be marked on TOP of the envelope.
4. Detailed list of eligible candidates for each post along with details of written test shall be notified in due course of time and shall be displayed in the website www.gmchassam.gov.in and www.dmeassam.gov.in. The date of uploading in the website shall be published in the local newspapers for information of the eligible candidates.
