To achieve this goal, the department has introduced a revolutionary system for the transfer of teachers. The Teacher Transfer Management System, an online portal, has been launched to streamline the teacher transfer process.

In a bid to enhance the quality of education and maintain an optimal Pupil Teacher Ratio (PTR) in schools, the Education Department of the Government of Assam has made a significant shift from offline to online teacher transfer and posting processes. With the launch of the “Teacher Transfer Management System” on the HRMS Assam Portal, this online platform is set to revolutionize the way teacher transfer and posting are managed in Assam.
Streamlining the Teacher Transfer Process
With effect from midnight on August 9th, 2022, the online transfer portal for intra and inter-district single transfer applications shall be open. This move aims to simplify and expedite the transfer process for teachers. The Education Department has devised a subsequent procedure to accept or reject transfer applications. Additionally, teachers will still be able to make mutual transfer applications through the portal.

The Online Portal for Mutual Transfer Application is Active Now
As of May 2nd, 2023, the online portal for mutual transfer applications is active. The Education Minister announced this development in a recent Facebook post. The portal will enable teachers to apply for mutual transfers quickly and easily. The teacher transfer process has never been this easy, and this is all thanks to the HRMS Assam Portal.

How to Register in Online Teacher Transfer Portal
If you are a teacher in a government or provincialized school in Assam, from Lower Primary (LP) to Senior Secondary Schools (SS), and want to apply for a transfer to your desired location, you can now register and submit your service profile details in the Teacher Transfer Management System (TTMS) portal.
To register online, follow these steps:
- Click on the given link.
- Click on the “Create Account” button.

Enter your required details, such as your Name, Email ID, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and select a password. Then click on the submit button.
- Next, click on the “Submit Service Profile” link and sign in to the TTMS portal using the Login button.

After logging in, you need to fill up your personal details in the following 11 sections:
- School details (Elementary/ Secondary)
- Personal Details
- Academic Qualification
- Professional & Other Qualification
- Service Details
- Salary Accounts & Other Official Account Details
- Service Records
- Award Received
- Promotion Details
- Other Details and
- Supporting Documents to upload
It is crucial to fill out all the necessary details accurately, and you need to upload the required supporting documents as well. Once you have completed filling out your service profile details, you can then submit your transfer preference through the TTMS portal.
Documents to be uploaded in TTMS Portal
- All teachers looking for transfer and posting to their desired locations have to mandatorily upload copy of the following documents.
- TET Marksheet cum Certificate
- D. El Ed. or B. Ed Mark sheet
- HSLC Mark sheet
- HSSLC Mark sheet
- Graduation Mark sheet
- Post Graduation Mark sheet
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Appointment Letter
- Cast Certificate
Note: For those teachers who had joined before 3rd September, 2001, uploading of TET Mark sheet cum Certificate and OD. El. Ed. or B. Ed Mark sheet is not mandatory.
The maximum size of each of the supporting documents should not exceed 300KB.
Photograph & Signature
- Teachers have to upload one clear passport size photograph and copy of scanned signature. Maximum size of each should not exceed 50 KB

With the effect from Midnight on 09-08-2022, the online transfer portal for intra and inter district transfer single transfer application has been opened. Interested teacher may apply on basis of the following grounds with uploading supporting documents:
- Treatment of own or dependent (নিজৰবাআপোনাৰ ওপৰত নিৰ্ভৰশীলৰ Treatment ৰ বাবে )

How to Apply for Mutual Transfer on HRMS Assam Portal
HRMS Assam Portal has opened the online process of mutual transfer. All the teachers who are willing to apply for mutual transfer can submit their applications online on the official portal https://hrmsassam.in from 16th February 2022 to 17th March 2022. The following steps can be followed to apply for mutual transfer:
- Scroll down and go to the Important Links section below.
- Click on the Online Mutual Transfer Application Link.
- The official TTMS Portal will be opened. Log in with your credentials.
- There are two options available for mutual transfer:
Case-1: Teachers having a co-applicant can apply for mutual transfer by sharing Aadhaar No./PAN No./Teacher Code, and the co-applicant has to give consent for mutual transfer.
Case-2: Teachers who do not have a co-applicant can apply for mutual transfer and ask for a co-applicant in three different options in order of preference.

While applying for mutual transfer, the teacher category, medium of instruction, and subject taught should match against an applicant or co-applicant in the desired place.
- In the first option, either Aadhar No. or Teacher ID or PAN No. is to be shared for a known co-applicant with whom a teacher wants to apply for mutual transfer, subject to the condition that the above criteria should match and the co-applicant has already applied.
