Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Specialist Officer

Educational Qualification
The educational requirements are specific to each role:
- I.T. Officer (Scale-I): A 4-year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields (Electronics, E&C, etc.) OR a Post Graduate Degree in CS/IT/Electronics OR a Graduate with a DOEACC ‘B’ level certification.
- Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): A 4-year degree (Graduation) in Agriculture or allied fields like Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, Agri. Marketing, Forestry, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): A Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the graduation level, OR a Post Graduate degree in Sanskrit with both English and Hindi as subjects at the graduation level.
- Law Officer (Scale I): A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and must be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.
- HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): A Graduate degree along with a two-year full-time Post Graduate degree or a two-year full-time PG diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work, or Labour Law.
- Marketing Officer (Scale I): A Graduate degree and a two-year full-time MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), or a two-year full-time PGDBA/PGDBM/PGPM/PGDM with a specialization in Marketing.
Age Limit (as of 1st July 2025)
- Age Bracket: Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years of age.
- This means a candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd July 1995 and not later than 1st July 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years
