Eligibility Criteria for Junior Engineer (Trainee)
To ensure high-quality management of its infrastructure, IIT Guwahati has set the following eligibility standards:
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Three-year Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
2. Age Limit
- The maximum age of the applicant should not exceed 28 years.
3. Preferred Experience
While freshers are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates with field experience in:
- Building maintenance and site-related works.
- Preparation of technical estimates.
- Tender document preparation.
Salary and Benefits
Selected trainees will be integrated into the IPM section and will receive the following emoluments:
- Stipend: A consolidated monthly stipend of ₹25,000.
