Selection Process: The Road to Uniform
The selection for Indian Army Agniveer 2026 is a multi-layered process designed to test both physical and mental fortitude:
- Phase I: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE): A computer-based objective test.
- Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) & Measurement (PMT): Including 1.6 KM run, beam (pull-ups), zig-zag balance, and 9-feet ditch.
- Phase III: Adaptability Test: To assess the candidate’s suitability for the military environment.
- Phase IV: Document Verification (DV): Verification of original education and caste certificates.
- Phase V: Medical Examination: Final fitness clearance by Army Medical Boards.

Special Physical Standards
Candidates belonging to following regions will be given 4 cms height relaxation:
- North East Region: Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Assam.
- Gorkhas.
- Garhwalis.
- Ladakher.
- Tribals of recognized tribal areas.
Note: Domicile and Caste certificate will be considered to determine applicability of height relaxation.
