Age Limit

Candidates applying for the post should be aged between 21 years to 27 years. However, the candidates belonging to the reserved categories are provided with age relaxation. Candidates should check the upper age limit according to the category they belong to. 

Educational Qualification

Physical Standards

Candidates eyeing the Indian Army JAG 31 Job Profile are expected to have a minimum height of 157 cm and a minimum weight of 60 kg, according to the official announcement. Furthermore, the candidate’s chest measurement should be at least 80 cm without expansion and at least 85 cm with expansion.

Nationality

Candidates applying for the post must either be:

  • A subject of Nepal
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories 2 and 3 above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of Eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A certificate will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. 

Number of Attempts

There is no such limit on the number of attempts a candidate can make on attempting the exam. Candidates are eligible to apply for the exam until they exceed the upper age limit according to the category they belong to. 

Experience

Candidates applying for the post need not have prior experience applying according to the Indian Army JAG 31 Eligibility.

1. Non Verbal Reasoning:

a) Analogy: In this you will have to connect two figures, and then you will be asked to choose another pair in the same relationship.

b) Series: In this category of questions, you will be provided with two shapes, in one of these shapes you will see the Problem, while in the second shape the Solution will be visible, let us tell you that in such questions the first shape i.e. the image with the problem is rotated. According to that you have to choose in the last option that how will be the rotation of the second shape i.e. solution image.

c) Classification: In this category of questions you are given a set of shapes, in this set you will be given a total of four shapes, out of which you have to choose one shape which is different from the rest three shapes.

d) Complete the incomplete pattern: In this category of questions, you will be given two figures in which the first figure will be of Problem and the second figure will be of Solution, in this you are given a figure inside the first figure which is incomplete, You have to choose the correct figure from the solution figure to complete the missing figure.

e) Spotting out the embedded figure: In this category also you will be provided with two figures, one with the problem figure and the other with the solution figure, in this you have to find the figure which is in the problem figure and the same figure in the solution figure.

f) Mirror & Water Image: In this category of questions you are given a word, you have to choose one word from the given four alternatives which will appear exactly the same when seen in the mirror or water.

g) Cube & Dice:  In this category of questions you are given a cube which is colored on two sides and is cut into 64 equal parts, you have to state from the given four options How many cubes are not colored in the cut pieces?

On the other hand, in the dice category, you get to see some such questions like what is dice or pasha? What will be the position of Pasha when the dice is thrown three times? What will its shape look like? If 4 comes on the top side, then what will come on the bottom side?

2. Verbal Reasoning:

a) Spelling Test: In this category of questions, you have to choose the wrongly spelled option from the given four options.

b) Synonyms & Antonyms:  You must have known about these words, the questions asked in this category are based on dictionary, you are given a word in the question with a synonym, you have to choose the correct option from the given four options. has to be selected which has the same meaning as the given word.

On the other hand, in the Antonyms part, you will be given a word, out of the four options given, you will have to choose one option which means the opposite of the given word.

c) Complete the sentence: In this category of question you are given an incomplete sentence, you have to choose the correct option from the given four options so that the sentence is complete.

d) Analogy: In this category question you have to show the similarities within two or more groups, you can find questions in different ways like Numbers, Objects, Things, Letters, Words etc.

e) Verbal Deductions: In this category you are asked questions from coding and decoding, in this category you are given a word for example suppose you have been given the word BASIC as DDULE then you have to tell that the word LEADER In which code will be written, for this you have to choose the correct option from the given four options.

f) Classification: In this category question you are given many groups, you have to tell the similarities and differences found in them, in this you can be asked questions about anything like word, number, letter etc.

g) Direction Sense Test: In this category of questions, you have to choose the correct direction. 

h) Sitting Arrangement: In this category question you are provided information on the basis of person or object, you have to tell the seating arrangement based on this information, this arrangement can be asked in any way like circular, square, Linear, Rectangular etc.

i) Series: In this category of questions, you get a mixture of a variety of sequences, alphabets, number patterns, etc. You have to choose the correct option accordingly.

j) Puzzle: The question asked in this category is information type, you are given a sentence in jumbled form, this sentence may or may not be in sequence, you have to write the jumbled sentence in the correct arrangement. It happens so that the correct meaning of this sentence can be derived.

k) Blood Relation: In this category of questions, you have to establish the relationship between two or more persons correctly, the relationship asked in the question is divided into two parts, one on the mother’s side and the other on the father’s side.

l) Logical Venn Diagram: In this category question you are given a set of objects which you have to solve in the form of figure, and you will be able to do this only if you have good knowledge about general knowledge or logical knowledge .

m) Ranking: In this category question you are given a group of person or thing which you have to arrange according to the relation.

3. Thematic Aptitude Test (TAT):

In this test, you are shown a clear photograph for 30 seconds, you have to write a story of the details seen in this picture and for this you will be given a total of 4 minutes, keeping in mind that the story you are writing It is necessary to get its proper meaning.

4. Word Association Test (WAT):

In this test, a total of 60 words are shown to the candidates one by one on the screen, you have to make a sentence according to the words shown on the screen, which makes sense, you have a total of 15 seconds to make a meaningful sentence in this test. are given.

5. Picture Perception And Discussion Test:

In this test you are shown a picture of a light shade, you have to write a story on the smallest object or person seen in the picture.

  • During SSB Interview in PP & DT Test all the applicants are shown a blurred picture for 30 seconds.
  • You have to write complete description like age, gender, mood etc. of the person appearing in the picture within 1 minute.
  • After writing the story, a group discussion will be organized on the written story among all the candidates.

6. Group Discussion (GD):

As you can see from the name itself that in this you will have to discuss group discussion with many people, you do not need to worry much because each candidate will be given a fixed time for discussion. .

7. Self Description Test (SDT):

In this test, all the candidates have to tell about themselves well.

8. Situation Reaction Test (SRT):

In this test, you are given a certain situation and you are asked some questions that if you are put in that situation, how will you get out of that situation? Or how would you solve that situation or problem? You have to write well about this process.

9. Progressive Group Task (PGT):

In this, you are thrown into an obstacle that starts and ends at a specified point, you are given some necessary material like rope, patra, bat etc. to cross this obstacle.

10. Group Planning Exercise (GPE):

You are given or told a problem, you have to solve it together with other candidates.
