The Indian Army has announced a total of 379 vacancies for this course. The distribution is based on gender and engineering streams (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, CS, etc., as detailed in the official PDF).

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army SSC Tech 2026
Candidates must strictly fulfill the following eligibility conditions to be shortlisted for the SSB Interview.
1. Nationality
A candidate must either be:
- (i) A Citizen of India, or
- (ii) A subject of Nepal, or
- (iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Note: Candidates belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
2. Age Limit (As on 01 Oct 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 27 Years
- Date of Birth Range: Candidates born between 02 Oct 1999 and 01 Oct 2006 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
3. Educational Qualification
- Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course.
- Final Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their Engineering Degree are also eligible to apply.
- Condition: They must submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by 01 October 2026.
- They must produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at the Academy.
Selection Process
The selection procedure for the Indian Army SSC Tech entry involves the following stages:
- Shortlisting of Applications: The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and fix the cutoff percentage of marks for each engineering stream.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview (Stage I & II).
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a strict medical examination.
