Educational Qualification & Musical Proficiency

• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination (10th standard) from a recognized board of school education.
• Musical Ability: Proficiency is required in aural aptitude, and knowledge of theory of music is essential. Practical skill on any wind instrument (Indian or Foreign) is mandatory.
  • Excluded Instruments: Instruments that produce a single note or have an indefinite pitch, such as the Bugle, Monotone, Jazz Drum set, or Bass Drum, are not eligible.

    • Candidates performing on Hindustani or Carnatic music instruments (wind instruments) must possess a certificate from a recognized music institute.

Indian Navy MR Musician Selection Process

The selection for Agniveer MR Musician is a multi-stage process designed to identify the most suitable candidates.

Salary and Benefits under Agnipath Scheme

Agniveers will receive an attractive monthly package and a one-time “Seva Nidhi” package upon completion of their tenure.

• Seva Nidhi Package: On discharge after 4 years, Agniveers will receive approximately ₹11.02 Lakh (including accrued interest and a matching contribution from the Government).
