Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Apprentice 2026
To ensure your application is accepted, you must meet the following age and educational requirements set by the IOCL Marketing Division.
1. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Cut-off Date for Age Calculation: 31st December 2025.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years (Up to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC).
2. Educational Qualification
A. Trade Apprentice (ITI Holders)
Candidates must possess a Matriculate (10th) certificate with a regular full-time 2-Year ITI Course recognized by NCVT/SCVT in the following trades:
- Fitter
- Electrician
- Electronics Mechanic
- Instrument Mechanic
- Machinist
B. Technician Apprentice (Diploma Holders)
Candidates must have a 3-Year Regular Full-Time Diploma in the relevant engineering stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, and Electronics Engineering.
C. Graduate Apprentice
- Qualification: Regular Full-Time Graduate Degree in any discipline (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA).
- Marks: Minimum 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
D. Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator)
- Fresher: Class 12th Pass (but below Graduate).
- Skilled Certificate Holders: Class 12th Pass + Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ (training of less than one year).
Stipend and Training Period
- Training Duration: The period of Apprenticeship training will be 12 Months.
- Stipend: Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and its latest amendments (Rules 1992/2019/2025).
