Kendriya Vidyalaya Namrup, Assam has released a recruitment notification for various teaching posts for the academic session 2026.

KV Namrup Vacancy Details 2026

The recruitment covers a wide range of academic disciplines and specialized roles. Below are the positions available:

1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

• Subjects: English, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and Commerce.
• Requirement: Proficiency in teaching in both English and Hindi media.

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

• Subjects: English, Sanskrit, and Mathematics.
• Requirement: Strong subject knowledge and bilingual teaching ability.

3. Primary Teacher (PRT)

• Post: General Primary Teacher.
• Requirement: Candidates must be well-versed in primary education pedagogy.

4. Specialized & Support Staff

• PRT- Special Educator: Specialized in disability categories with RCI registration.
• Yoga Teacher: Expert in yogic practices with recognized certification.
• Computer Instructor: Skilled in ICT and KVS online systems.
• Regional Language Teacher (Assamese): Expert in the local language with 50% marks in graduation.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

For PGT, TGT, and PRT

• Educational Qualification: As per official KVS Recruitment Norms.
• Essential Skills: Mandatory computer application knowledge and proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English.

For PRT- Special Educator

• Passed Class 12 with 50% marks.
• Two-year D.Ed. in Special Education OR One-year Diploma in Special Education OR PG Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation.
• Mandatory: Must be CTET qualified (Primary Stage) and registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with a valid CRR number.

For Computer Instructor

• BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science) / PGDCA / O or A Level from DOEACC.
• Typing competence in both Hindi and English is a major plus.

For Yoga Teacher

• Graduation in any discipline with at least a one-year course in Yoga from a recognized university.
