Essential qualifications:
EITHER –
I. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with
or
b) Comparable experience in research establishments and/or other institutions of higher education
or
c) 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar of a University or equivalent post.
–OR-
II. Officers in the Assam Civil Service notbelow the rank of Joint Secretary at the state level having Master’s Degree in any subject and administrative experience of at least 15 years.
Desirable qualifications:
i) Experience of working in Open University/Distance Education System.
ii) A Degree/Diploma in Distance Education
iii) A Ph.D Degree
iv) Working knowledge of computer
Scale of pay: Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- with grade pay of Rs. 10,000/- (Pay to be fixed as per UGC guidelines and fixation formula)
Age: Not more than 59 years on the last date of submission of application
