Eligibility Criteria for KKHSOU Assistant Professor
Candidates must ensure they meet the educational qualifications prescribed by the UGC norms before appearing for the interview.
1. General Disciplines (Arts & Science)
- Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Eligibility Test: Besides the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
- Exemption: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
2. Special Education
For the post of Assistant Professor in Special Education, the following qualifications are mandatory:
- Master Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
- M.Ed. in Special Education in the respective disability area OR
- M.Ed. (General) with a B.Ed. in Special Education in the respective disability area.
- Registration: Valid RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) Registration is mandatory.
