Through Krishi Udaan Yojana 2023 , assistance will be provided in transportation of perishable food products from hilly areas, northeastern states and tribal areas.

Krishi Udaan Yojana 2023
To solve the problem of wastage of agricultural food waste in the country, the Central Government has launched Krishi Udaan Yojana 2.0 on 27 October 2021 . Through which farmers will be helped in the transportation of agricultural products. The implementation of this scheme will greatly benefit the farmers and they will be able to take their crops from one place to another on time without getting damaged. In this way, there will be no wastage of food grains by reaching the crop on time at the designated place and the crop will also get the right price.
Under the Krishi Udan Scheme 2023 , the Ministry of Civil Aviation will set up terminals in the states of Leh, Srinagar, Nagpur, Nashik, Ranchi, Bagdogra, Raipur and Guwahati, for which 53 airports have been selected. Under Krishi Udaan Yojana 2023 , these airports will be operated by the Airports Authority of India. With the help of air facility, other perishable items like milk, fish, meat etc. can be transported to the market at the earliest.

Objective of PM Kisan Krishi Udaan Scheme 2023
Many farmer brothers are not getting the benefits according to their hard work due to crop failure, the reason behind which is that they are not able to deliver their crops to the market on time. Keeping these things in mind, the Central Government has started the Krishi Udan Scheme 2023 , with the help of which farmers will be able to take their crops from one place to another safely by air.
The government has started Krishi Udaan Yojana 2023 with the aim of ensuring that the farmers get the right price for their crops, so that their economic life can run smoothly . The scheme is a part of the 16-point action plan launched by the Ministry of Civil Aviation for farmers on international and national routes. Now with the help of this scheme, the crop will reach the farmers not only in the country but also in foreign countries, which will greatly benefit them.
Airports covered under Krishi Udan Scheme 2023
Under the Krishi Udan Scheme 2023 launched by the Central Government, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has set a target to set up terminals in Leh, Srinagar, Nagpur, Nashik, Ranchi, Bagdogra, Raipur and Guwahati. Under this scheme, 53 different airports have been selected, which will be operated by the Airports Authority of India. Along with this, eight domestic and international trade routes will also be started by the central government under this scheme. These routes will include Amritsar-Dubai for baby corn, Darbhanga for Litchi and rest of India and Sikkim and rest of India for organic products.
E-skilled portal started for Krishi Udaan scheme 2023
Keeping in mind the convenience of the beneficiary farmers, the Central Government has launched the online portal e-Kushal related to Krishi Udaan Yojana. Through this portal, farmers can easily get all the necessary information and facilities related to this scheme of the Central Government. This online portal serves to refine the rules of the MoCA scheme as well as point out all the bottlenecks faced by the transport industry in the movement of goods across the country.
Establishment of trade route under Krishi Udaan scheme 2023
The central government will also work towards setting up a trade route between Chennai, Vizag and Kolkata and East Asian countries for transportation of seafood. Other routes include Agartala-Delhi-Dubai for pineapples, Dibrugarh-Delhi-Dubai for mandarin oranges and Guwahati to Hong Kong for pulses, fruits and vegetables.
The ministry has asked states to reduce sales tax on aviation turbine fuel (ATF) to 1 per cent under the Krishi Udaan 2.0 scheme . The ministry along with AAI will set up hub and spoke model in 2021-22 at Agartala, Srinagar, Dibrugarh, Dimapur, Hubli, Imphal, Jorhat, Lilabari, Lucknow, Silchar, Tezpur, Tirupati and Tuticorin.
In 2022-23, they will develop a hub and spoke model to transport perishable products in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Jharsuguda, Kozhikode, Mysore, Puducherry, Rajkot, and Vijayawada, Agra, Darbhanga, Gaya, Gwalior, Pakyong. Pantnagar, Shillong, Shimla, Udaipur and Vadodara and Holangi and Salem will be covered in 2024-25.
How will the central government scheme Krishi Udaan Yojana 2.0 work?
At least half the seats on UDAN flights are offered at concessional fares and a certain amount of Viability Gap Funding (VGF) is provided to the participating carriers. The amount of VGF is shared between the central government and the respective state governments. Krishi Udaan Yojana is a new step as farmers will be provided with subsidized rent and the facility of delivery of their agricultural products. This subsidy will be applicable on national and international routes.
