This recruitment drive aims to fill 2 vacancies for the project focusing on “Process-based modeling for predictive mapping of climate change impact on the performance of tea and climate-smart zone based adaptation strategies in Terai-Dooars and Darjeeling region of India.”
National Bureau of Soil Survey & Land Use Planning (NBSSLUP) vacancy Details
1. Junior Research Fellow
- Number of Vacancies: 1
- Qualifications:
- Post Graduate in Agricultural Sciences, Geoinformatics, Geography, Engineering, Technology, or Statistics with specialization in RS & GIS-related works.
- Desirable Skills:
- Expertise in geospatial modeling for natural resource mapping and management, particularly in crop mapping and yield forecasting, with a focus on tea cultivation.
- Proficiency in GIS software, Google Earth engine, R programming, Python language, and other relevant soil-crop modeling software.
- Salary:
- Rs. 20,000/- + 24% HRA per month for the 1st and 2nd year.
- Rs. 22,000/- + HRA 24% per month for the 3rd year.
2. Project Assistant
- Number of Vacancies: 1
- Qualifications:
- Graduate in Soil Sciences, Agricultural Chemistry, or related branches of Agricultural or Horticultural sciences with specialization in Soil-related works.
- Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in soil science, natural resource mapping, and soil-crop-based survey, particularly in the context of tea cultivation.
- Experience in soil-crop-based field data collection, soil lab analysis, and data entry, along with strong report writing skills.
- Salary: Rs. 15,000/- + 8% HRA per month.
Age Limit for NBSSLUP Recruitment 2024
The minimum age limit for applicants is 21 years, while the maximum age limit varies: 45 years for men, 50 years for women/SC/ST/Physically challenged candidates, and 48 years for OBC candidates on the date of the interview.
