Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology is required.
- Professional Experience:
- The candidate should have retired from a government mining organization with a pay scale of at least Rs. 1,82,200 – Rs. 2,24,100.
- The applicant must possess a minimum of 25 years of experience in the field.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with the Geological Survey of India and have at least one year of experience in Critical Mineral Assessment.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be more than 65 years old on the last date of the application submission. An empaneled expert will automatically cease to be in the panel upon reaching this age limit.
Required Skills:
The candidate must possess the following skills:
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to build effective relationships within and outside the organization, with strong networking and communication capabilities.
- Experience in Exploration Projects: Proven expertise in the technical planning of exploration projects for deep-seated and critical minerals.
- Project Planning: Ability to prepare prospecting and exploration plans for mining lease blocks, utilizing geophysical, geochemical, and geological techniques.
- Resource Evaluation: Competency in resource/reserve estimation and evaluation of bedded, deep-seated, and critical minerals following the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) and JORC Rules.
- Expert Advice: Experience in providing expert guidance for locating deep-seated minerals in uncovered areas.
Critical Mineral Exploration: Familiarity with selecting and exploring minerals such as lithium, cobalt, graphite, nickel, copper, potash, REE, and other critical minerals.
- Knowledge of Geology and Mining: Deep understanding of various geological and mining processes, as well as mining policies and regulations.
- Mining Leases: Good knowledge of mining leases and related government procedures and policies.
- RFP Preparation: Ability to prepare technical components for RFPs (Request for Proposals) to engage consultants in critical mineral exploration.
