PM YASASVI Scheme 2022- Application, How to Apply, Eligibility: The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government Of India, has planned to offer 15,000 scholarships under the PM YASASVI scheme. Scholarship amount ranging from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1,25,000 per year is entitled to Class 9-12 meritorious students from the Other Backward Class (OBC), De-Notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic (DNT) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories.

PM YASASVI Scheme 2022 To Offer 15,000 Scholarships To Meritorious Backward Class Students

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the applying process for the doorway check of the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI Scheme 2022). Beneath this scheme, formulated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Govt. of India), 15,000 meritorious students belonging to the Different Backward Courses (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and De-Notified, Nomadic & Semi Nomadic Tribes (DNT/NT/SNT) classes, stand an opportunity to win scholarships starting from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1, 25,000 per 12 months.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by Ministry of Education, as an independent/autonomous, self-reliant and self-sustained premier testing organization.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India has formulated a scheme known as PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (YASASVI) for award of scholarships to eligible candidates belonging to Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC) and De-Notified, Nomadic & Semi Nomadic Tribes(DNT/S-NT) categories, (the annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs) studying in Class IX and Class XI in identified Schools across India. Selection of candidates for the award of scholarships under the scheme is through a written test called YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST. NTA has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST 2022. NTA will be conducting the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST-2022 as per details given below

What is PM YASASVI Scheme?

“PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India for OBCs and others (PM –YASASVI)” is an umbrella scheme to supply monetary help to students belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT/NT/SNT classes. Students with household annual revenue lower than Rs 2.5 lakhs can apply for the scholarship.

The scholarship scheme is on the market just for Indian students and is awarded

by the actual state/union territory to which the applicant belongs, i.e, the place she/he’s domiciled.

The scholarship is awarded at two levels: 

  • For candidates who’re in Class 9
  • For candidates who’re in Class 11

Underneath this scheme, Rs 75,000 per 12 months is granted to Class 9 students, and an amount of Rs 1,25,000 per 12 months is supplied to the Class 11 students.

Eligibility for PM YASASVI Scheme 2022- Entrance Test 2022

  • Should be Indian Nationals
  • Should belong to OBC or EBC or DNT category.
  • Should have passed Class 8 or Class 10 (as the case may be) in 2021-22
  • The annual income of their parents/guardians from all sources should exceed Rs. 2.5 lacs
  • Candidates applying for Class 9 exams should have been born between April 1, 2006 and March 31, 2010 (both days inclusive).
  • Candidates applying for Class 11 exams should have been born between April 1, 2004 and March 31, 2008 (both days inclusive).
  • Both boys and girls are eligible to apply. Eligibility requirements are the same for all genders.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the annual income of the parents or guardian of the candidate must not exceed Rs 2.5 Lakh. Those who are interested in the PM YASASVI scholarship scheme can submit the application form till August 26 through the official website– yet.nta.ac.in. The application correction window will remain open from August 27 to 31.

Students will be selected for the scholarship on the basis of their merit in the YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The entrance exam will be held in the computer-based test (CBT) mode on September 11 and the admit card for the same will be available on September 5.

Under this scheme, Rs 75,000 per annum (p.a) will be granted to the Class 9 and Class 10 students and Rs 1,25,000 to the Class 11 and Class 12 students.

Candidates should have a valid mobile number, aadhar number (AID), aadhar linked bank account, income certificate and caste certificate to apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship Scheme.

PM YASASVI Scheme Scholarship: How to apply

Interested candidates have time till August 26 to register for the programme, and correction window for the online applications will be open from August 27 till August 31.

Step 1: Visit the official website — yet.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘register’ or ‘login’ link available on the home page, depending on your registration status.

Step 4: Upload the required documents, signature etc.

Step 5: Submit the application. Download and save for future reference.

Documents for application: Student should have a valid functional Mobile Number, Aadhar Number (UID), Aadhar linked Bank Account, Income Certificate and Caste Certificate.

Candidates should note that they are not required to pay any exam fee. After the application forms are successfully submitted and corrected, the NTA will release the admit cards on September 5, 2022 at the official website.

This year, the exam is scheduled to take place on September 11. The exam will be three hours long and will be conducted in computer based test (CBT) mode. It will be objective type comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). It will be held in 78 cities across India, and the question paper will be available in Hindi and English.

The Young Achievers Scholarship entrance test is being held for selection of candidates belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT categories, studying in Class IX and Class XI for award of scholarship for studying in Schools identified by the MSJ&E.
