Railway Group D Exam Pattern

The first stage exam will contain 100 questions on Maths, Reasoning, Science & GK. Students will be given 90 minutes to complete the exam.

As per the official notice, there will be 55 questions from Maths & Reasoning topic and 45 questions from General Science, GK & Current Affairs topic. The total duration of Computer based test will be 90 minutes. There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

General Science Syllabus for Railway Group D ( 25 Questions )

The general science section includes questions of 10th standard level physics, chemistry and life sciences. This section examines your knowledge of the observation of scientific aspects from every day.

RRB Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Step 1 After CBT, the eligibility list of selected candidates (two times vacancy) will be uploaded on the official website of the Railways. These candidates will be called for the next round i.e Physical Skills Test (PET). RRB will conduct PET to test the physical strength of the candidates. Let’s dig deeper into criteria for PET

Physical ability test (PET) will qualify in nature. Disabled Persons (PWD) candidates are exempted from joining this examination. However, the next round for PWD candidates will be round the medical examination.

Document Verification (DV)

After PET, the final hurdle will be Document Verification (DV) round. Candidates will be called for Document Verification on the basis of the marks in the first stage computer-based test & their performance in PET. Candidates called for DV will also have to pass a necessary medical fitness test.
