1. Sub-Divisional Sports Officer (SDSO)

No. of post: 01 (UR)

Pay: Pay Band – 2 Rs. 22,000 -Rs. 87,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 9,400/- plus other admissible allowances.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science/Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree / Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India or 3 /4 years.B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India.

2. Physical Instructor (PI)

No. of post: 25 (UR-14, SC-07, STP-3, STH-1)

Pay: Pay Band – 2 Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 49,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 8,700/- plus other admissible allowances as per AS (ROP) Rules, 2017.

Educational Qualification:Degree in Arts / Science/Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree / Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India or 3 /4years B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India.

3. Junior Assistant (HQ)

No. of post: 02 (UR)

Pay: Pay Band – 2 Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 49,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200/- plus other admissible allowances as per AS (ROP) Rules, 2017.

Educational Qualification:

(i) Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized University.
(ii) 1 year Diploma in Computer Application, knowledge in DTP, Excel, Word Power Point Presentation, Internet Browsing etc.

4. Coach

No. of post: 03 (STP-1, STH-1, SC-1)

• Football Coach: 01
• Mountaineering Coach / Instructor: 01

Pay: Pay Band – 2 Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 49,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 8,700/- plus other admissible allowances as per AS (ROP) Rules, 2017.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with one year Diploma in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from any other Institute recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. (ii) Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with Diploma in Method of Instruction Course and Basic & Advance Course in Mountaineering from recognized Institution.

Age limit for Sports & Youth Welfare Assam

• The candidates must not be less than 21 years or more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC and ST Candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates only.

Examination

Candidate will have to appear for a written examination to be conducted by the Selection Committee for filling-up the post of Jr. Asstt. (HQ) under the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam on the following subjects:

(a). English
(b). General Knowledge
(c). Arithmetic

The medium of examination will be English only

• The short-listed candidates will be called for Computer Test and efficiency on MS-Word, Excel and Power Point Presentation.
• Physical Ability Test and Written Test for SDSO, PI & Coach will be held separately.
• Three separate written tests for the post of SDSO, PI & Coach will be held.
