Two Tier Computer-Based Examination
As per the new selection process, the SSC CGL 2023 Exam will be conducted in two tiers of Computer-Based Examination, i.e. Tier-I and Tier-II.
Tier-I Exam: Qualifying in Nature
The Tier-I Exam will be qualifying in nature, which means that candidates will have to clear this stage to proceed to the next stage of the exam, i.e. Tier-II. The marks obtained in the Tier-I Exam will not be considered for the final selection.
Tier-II Exam: Selection Based on Merit

Tier-Il Exam Pattern
⦾ Tier II will include conducting Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III in separate shift(s)/ day(s).
⦾ Paper-I is Compulsory for All the Posts
⦾ Paper II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
