SSC CGL does have ways to clear the exam. And it will vary from person to person. But here I am going give a strategy that will make you prepare for the exam from the beginning.

SSC CGL PREPARATION: UNDERSTANDING THE OVERVIEW

Now before preparing for any exam you need to understand the exam pattern and syllabus in detail. You might not give more importance in this part but this will probably give you 10 to 15 % edge over others in the exam.

You can ask anyone who have cracked ssc cgl. They all will share some thing similar that they have analyzed the question papers and the exam pattern well.

SSC CGL PREPARATION

Lets understand the exam pattern in brief, SSC CGL has 4 tiers and Tier l and Tier ll are the important one, and these are those who are going to decide whether you will be able to crack the exam or not.

Now Tier l is a typical SSC Tier l like all other ssc exams. It will have 4 subjects,General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, English and G.K. Each part will have 25 question each. And 100 question overall. And you will have 60 minute.

As now you have understand the syllabus and the exam pattern well. So assuming you are a beginner, and don’t have more knowledge about the exam strategies. Note: if you are preparing you, will be benefited as well.

Now Before preparing you need to know how much time you have for the exam. Basically SSC releases its notice 4 to 5 moths before the exam. Let assuming you have 90 days for the exam. Remember you ar not going to study for Tier ll in these 90 days. As we will have enough time for Tier ll to study.

SSC CGL Preparation Tips

  1. Make sure what are you strong and weak subjects.
  2. Always start with the weakest subject.
  3. Make sure that you give at least 2 hour everyday to all subject.
  4. Try to give minimum 3 hour for your weak subject.
  5. Try not to put you head on anything except the exam and you health.

SSC CGL PREPARATION

Now Here are the Following set of rules you need to follow.

  1. Give yourself 4 to 5 days fro every topic.
  2. After finishing any topic. Go through the previous year question paper and try to solve the topic you finished.
  3. Before starting any new topic, revise all the topics that you finished yet.
  4. If you are not able to any certain topic for a long time skip it for a while try doing other topics
  5. After finishing half of you topic,start giving mock test every 3 days. And try increasing your marks on topics you have finished.
  6. After finishing basic concept of all the topic. Start giving mock test everyday.
  7. And revive all the topics and try create a mind map.

 

SSC CGL PREPARATION:How to prepare English for SSC CGL Tier 1?

In SSC CGL both grammar and comprehension have equal weight age. So you need keep a balance. Here are the tips you need to follow.

  1. After studying grammar and their rules everyday try reading minimum 2 article a day and try relate the rules that you learned.
  2. Make sure article is from a reputed newspaper like the Hindus.
  3. After finishing at least 3 topic, try solving previous question papers.
  4. And for Idioms and phrases try to collect last 10 years Idioms and Phrases of all ssc exam. We will provide a list soon. Mail us if are to collect the PDF. Its free.
  5. After finishing all the topics Try giving mock test everyday and start reading minimum 4 article everyday and relating the rules you have studied.
  6. Reading article and relating will increase you grammar as well as you comprehension skills.

 

SSC CGL PREPARATION:How to prepare general intelligence & reasoning for SSC CGL Tier 1?

Is considered as the most scoring subject in SSC CGL. Or any SSC exams. Here are tips you need to follow

Try to finish basic concept of all the topic within 45 days.

It may sound bit tough that 45 days for reasoning, but its true, topics here are very essay. You might able finish 2 topics a day. Even if you want to give more time 2 days for 1 topics is enough.

After finishing all topics give as many mock test you want to give and try solving at least 21 to 23 question in ssc cgl.

SSC CGL PREPARATION:How to prepare general Awareness for SSC CGL Tier 1?

Now In SSC it is said that nothing is enough in ssc cgl.But you can make sure to get 20 to 22 marks on ssc cgl. If you plan right. So here is the plan

  1. Study Arihant Publicationsc,Monohar Pandeys gk, for geography,history and polity.
  2. Class 9th and 10th science book for physics,chemistry and biology.
  3. Then find previous year question bank. And try doing questions as much as you can.
  4. For current affairs you can go for LAST 6 MOTHS CURRENT AFFAIRS.

 

SSC CGL Preparation: HOW TO PREPARE FOR SSC CGL Tier 2?

Now Tier 2 consists of two a papers. And you need to give either paper 3 or paper 4. Now lets get some idea about paper 3 and 4.

Now paper 3 is for Junior assistant officer and paper 4 is for tax accountant and some other posts.

STATISTICS

This is very concept based paper. So try to take the basic concept as much as you can don’t go for problems without understanding the core concept.

  1. Focus on topics like statistical inference,correlation and regression, probability theory, time series analysis, sampling theory, statistical inference, skewness and kurtosis.
  2. The book i will suggest you if  fundamentals of mathematical statistics

General studies (finance and economics)

1. Try focusing on topics like

  1. Five Year Plans
  2. Indian Tax Structure
  3. Money and Banking
  4. Economic Terms
  5. Economic Reforms in India
  6. Five Year Plans
  7. Money and Banking

2. Try to have a core concept of class XI and XII like, foreign exchange demand, supply, economic development of India, the balance of payment and national ,international financial institutions, income and aggregates.
