SSC Tier l consists of four subjects.General Intelligence & Reasoning,Numerical Aptitude,English Comprehension and General Awareness. They consists of 60 minute and 100 question. 200 marks in total. Syllabus generally doesn’t not change but weight age of marks do change.

SSC CGL Tier ll consists of four paper. But the candidate should appear on three paper based on their post preference. The paper 1 and 2 are compulsory for all. If you going for the The post of junior statistical officer than you need appear for the paper 3 that is statistics. And if you are going for the post of Assistant Audit Officer or Assistant Accounts Officer than you are going appear paper 4 that is General studies( Economics and Finance).

Just remember that the most of the syllabus for tier ll may be same but the level is comparatively high more conceptual.

STATISTICS

Probability-Probability Distributions,Compilation, Random Variable and Probability Distributions, classification, tabulation of Statistical Data, Graphical presentation of data,Binomial, Poisson, Normal, Exponential.

Measures of  central  tendency,  rank  correlation  coefficient  and  linear  regression  analysis   for two  or  more variables  excluding partial correlation coefficients, measures  of  dispersion,    measures  of  association  and  contingency,  scatter diagram,  correlation  coefficient.

Concept of  Population,  sampling  distribution  of    x  properties  of estimators and estimation of confidence intervals,random  sample,  parameters,  statistics.

Principles of  sampling,  simple  random  sampling,  stratified sampling,  systematic  sampling  etc.,    Sampling  and non-sampling errors, type-I and type-II errors.

Moments, Skewness and Kurtosis,Concepts of  Hypothesis –Null  and  alternate,  Testing  of  hypothesis  for  large  samples  as  well  as  small samples including Chi-square tests ( Z, t, F, chi square tests).

Index Numbers, Time series analysis and components of variation and their estimation.

DEST (Data Entry Speed Test)

Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour on Computer is specifically for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax).

This exam will be Qualifying in nature.

CPT(COMPUTER PROFICIENCY TEST)

The test will be conducted for the post of Assistant Section Officer of Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines,Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
