How to Prepare GD PET/PST Exam

Preparing for the SSC GD PET/PST (Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test) requires a dedicated workout regimen and a healthy lifestyle. Here are some tips on how to prepare for the exam:

  1. Start early: Begin your workout routine early, at least 2-3 months before the exam, to give your body enough time to adapt to the new routine.
  2. Cardiovascular exercise: The PET includes a long-distance race, so it’s important to focus on cardiovascular exercises like running, cycling, or swimming to improve your endurance.
  3. Strength training: The PST includes measurements of height, weight, and chest, so strength training exercises like push-ups, squats, and bench presses can help you build muscle and improve your physique.
  4. Balanced diet: A balanced diet consisting of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats is essential for a healthy body and to support your workout routine.
  5. Practice regularly: Regular practice of the race and other physical parameters included in the PET/PST will help you improve your speed, stamina, and endurance.
  6. Rest and recovery: Rest and recovery are crucial for any workout routine. Make sure you get enough sleep and rest days to allow your body to recover and avoid injury.
