Age limit for SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2022
18-23 years as on 01-01-2023. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2000 and later than 01-01-2005 in normal course. However, after relaxation of three (03) years in upper age, the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02-01-1997.

The written exam of SSC GD Constable Recruitment consists of objective type questions from General English/ Hindi, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Mathematics and General Knowledge. Each subject will have 20 questions carrying 40 marks, making it a total exam of 160 marks. The level of question paper will be of 10th class/matriculation. There will also be a negative marking of 1/4 for wrong answers. The time duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

SSC GD 2022 Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Ten times the number of vacancies, candidates will be called for Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PET/PST). Ex-Servicemen to be shortlisted in the Computer Based Test will have to appear in the PET/PST stage to record the measurements of height, chest and weight only. PET will not be conducted for Ex-Servicemen candidates.

SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
On the basis of performance in Computer Based Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Physical (PET/PMT) by the Commission. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centers as finalized by the CAPFs. The eligibility/documents of the candidates will be scrutinized in detail at the time of DME.
Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidates to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for CBE/PST/PET. During PET/PST, candidates found qualified on the basis of height standards will have to undergo PET (Race) followed by Biometric/Technology Aided Identification. The eligibility of the candidates for any relaxation i.e. age, height and chest measurement will be examined by the CAPF PET/PST Boards after qualifying the PET (Race) before PST.
