SSC MTS SYLLABUS 2020: TIER 1
SSC MTS Tier 1 have four topics or subjects. They are namely General Intelligence, Quantitative aptitude, General English and General Awareness. Remember that don’t compare these subjects with CHSL and CGL. Because the quantity and difficulty of MTS compared to CHSL and CGL are quite different.

Now Look ssc CGL and CHSL Quantitative aptitude contains Algebra and other topics but in SSC MTS there is only arithmetic.
SSC MTS SYLLABUS:General Intelligence & Reasoning
Reasoning is considered as the most scoring topic in any SSC exams. Now in SSC MTS it does not stretch the difficulty level of the examination. If you follow the basic tricks to counter this problem you will able to crack these exam. Can get latest 21 to 23 upon 25.
Number & Alphabetical Series, Coding Decoding, Analogy, Odd one Out, Embedded or Complete the Image, Counting Figure, Blood relations, Matrix, Mathematical Calculations, Words order, Syllogism, Directions Sense, Ranking, Non-verbal: Paper Folding & Cutting, Mirror Image.
SSC MTS SYLLABUS: Quantitative Aptitude
Now many students have problems with their mathematics skills, But trust me that in SSC MTS you have to clear you basic concept like addition, subtraction,VODMAS and you able to solve problems in quants. Now if you even bad in mathematics than also working hard and clearing these concept will get you least 18 to 20 marks in minimum.
Number System/HCF/LCM, Percentage, Average, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, Ratio, Mixture & Allegation, Time Speed Distance, CI & SI, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, DI( Data Interpretation) Algebra.
SSC MTS SYLLABUS: General English
Now in other SSC exams you will find English subject as English Language. But here it is termed as General English. There is no actual difference but their difference lies in the level of questions. There not more high level question on grammar, or word meaning is asked. If you are even weak at English with proper preparation in maximum two month you can get least 18 to 20 marks.
Basic Spot the error, Fill in the blanks, Synonyms, Antonyms, Spelling and detecting mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of sentences, Comprehension Passage.
SSC MTS SYLLABUS: General Awareness
General awareness tent to make students scare. Because of its unpredictable nature. Like other government exam SSC doesn’t give more weight-age on Current affairs. But recently SSC started increasing the number of question for current affairs. Now at least 7 to 8 questions are asked from current affairs.
But till the weight age will be more at static Gk. Now Static is the Gk from the field of History, Political science, Economics and general science. Now if you follow last ten years SSC MTS Question paper, you find at least 10 question form static portion. G.K is all about proper analysis of the question paper. The general score tent to go from 15 to 20.
Geography, History, Political Science, General science, Economics (Mostly current affairs) and current affairs.
SSC MTS SYLLABUS 2020: TIER 2
SSC MTS Tier 2 is of 50 marks with 30 minute time. For Physically Handicapped it is 40 minute. Now Tier 2 is totally qualifying in nature. Your Tier 2 marks will not be calculated but you need to qualify. Qualifying percentage is 33 % at time of writing the article. You can check if the percentage has change on their official website.
