Tezpur University Recruitment Vacancy Details

1. Assistant Professor

No. of post: 04 posts (one each for Sociology, Assamese, Mathematics and Mass Communication & Journalism)

Essential qualification

• Good academic record with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s Degree level in the concerned subject (Sociology, Assamese, Mathematics and Mass Communication & Journalism) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

• Working knowledge in MS Office, Internet, and Multimedia.

• Strong writing and communication skills in English.

• Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET.

• Candidates having Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions.

• NET / SLET / SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET / SLET / SET is not conducted.

Desirable: Experience and exposure in ODL system.

Pay: Rs. 30,000/- (fixed) Per Month.

2. Assistant Registrar

No. of post: 01 post

Essential qualification:

• Good academic record with a Master’s Degree in any subject having at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B+’ in the UGC seven- point scale (relaxation to SC/ST/PWD candidates as per Govt, of India Rules).

•  Working knowledge in MS Office, Internet and Multimedia.

• Strong writing and communication skills in English.

Desirable: Experience and exposure in examination, evaluation and administrative functions.

Pay: Rs. 28,000/- (fixed) Per Month.

Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years (relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Govt, of India Rules).

3. Computer Operator

No. of post: 01 post

Essential qualification:

(i) BCA / B.Sc. (IT) / DOEACC “A” level.

(ii) Strong knowledge in computer programming and networking.

(iii) Working skills in multimedia / web-based learning.

Desirable: Experience and exposure in ODL system.

Pay: Rs. 18,000/- (fixed) Per Month.

Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years (relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Govt, of India Rules).

3. Office Assistant

Essential qualification:

(i) Graduation in any discipline.

(ii) Working knowledge in computer operations, multimedia.

Pay: Rs. 18,000/- (fixed) Per Month.

Age limit: Between 18-27 years (relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Govt, of India Rules).
