Tezpur University is seeking to fill one position for the role of Research Associate. The Research Associate will be responsible for working on the ICSSR sponsored research project, “Work, Mental Health and Gender: A Sociological Study on Women Police in Dibrugarh District of Assam.” This project aims to provide valuable insights into the experiences of women in the police force and the impact of work on their mental health.

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in any social science discipline with minimum 55% marks and NET/SLET/MPhil/PhD.

Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand) only per month (as per approved emolument of ICSSR).

Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Selection Procedure

The selection of the Research Associate will be based on a walk-in-interview scheduled for 10th July 2023 at 11.00 AM. The interview will be conducted at the Department of Sociology, Tezpur University. Candidates are expected to present themselves before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of their mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, NET/SLET/MPhil/PhD certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate (if any), and any other relevant testimonials. Additionally, candidates are required to submit a copy of their recently signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and the prescribed application form (Annexure-I) on the day of the interview.
