About Teachers’ Training (TT) College, Mirza
Teachers’ Training College, Mirza was established on 31st May 1992 with the objective of providing quality teacher education and strengthening the educational ecosystem of South Kamrup, Assam.
The concept of establishing the college was proposed in April 1992 during discussions with Dr. Amrit Sarmah, then Principal of Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza, who extended full cooperation. A historic general meeting held on 31 May 1992, chaired by Sri Bhabani Kanta Choudhury, resolved to start the college from the 1992–93 academic session. Since then, TT College Mirza has been contributing significantly to teacher education in Assam.
