The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the recruitment notification for the Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2026. UPSC CSE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or possess an equivalent qualification.
Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary examination.
2. Age Limit (As of 01.08.2026)
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 32 Years
Age Relaxation: Permissible age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules.

UPSC CSE 2026 Selection Process
The recruitment process is rigorous and consists of three successive stages:
Civil Services Preliminary Exam: Objective-type screening test (GS + CSAT).
Civil Services Main Exam: Written descriptive examination consisting of 9 papers.
Personality Test (Interview): Evaluation of the candidate’s suitability for a career in public service.
Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final verification before appointment.
