This year, the Commission has announced 933 vacancies across various prestigious services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other Group A and B central services.

1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must hold a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary examination.

2. Age Limit (As of 01.08.2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 32 Years
• Age Relaxation: Permissible age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules.

The recruitment process is rigorous and consists of three successive stages:

1. Civil Services Preliminary Exam: Objective-type screening test (GS + CSAT).
2. Civil Services Main Exam: Written descriptive examination consisting of 9 papers.
3. Personality Test (Interview): Evaluation of the candidate’s suitability for a career in public service.
4. Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final verification before appointment.
