UPSC IES/ ISS Recruitment 2024 – Economic Service/ Statistical Service Examination

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC IES/ISS Recruitment

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of August 1, 2024, i.e., they should have been born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2003.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years

Educational Qualification:

• Indian Economic Service: Candidates must possess a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized University or Educational Institute.
• Indian Statistical Service: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects. Alternatively, candidates may possess a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University or Institute.

Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical standards as specified in Appendix III of the rules for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2024, published in the Gazette of India dated April 10, 2024.

Application Fee: Candidates (except Female/SC/ST/PWD candidates) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either through State Bank of India, online payment methods (Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI), or internet banking.
