Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma on directed officers to conduct the examinations for recruitment to Class III and Class IV posts in the state government smoothly. He also directed that no misconduct or irregularities should take place during this process, an official statement said.
 
Chairing a meeting of the state-level recruitment commission on the upcoming exams to fill vacant Class III and Class IV posts, Sharma said the brilliant youth selected through fair recruitment process would bring a marked change in the way government administration is conducted.
He expressed the hope that the candidates who secured their jobs through hard work would have a better understanding of the concept of dignity of labor and be devoid of unethical practices

The Chief Minister issued several directives to conduct the entire recruitment process smoothly. He asked the senior officers to take all necessary measures to ensure that no malpractices and irregularities occur on the day of the written examination.
 
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has asked senior officials of the home and political departments to strictly ensure that no candidate enters a center with prohibited items such as mobile phones.
 
He asked the Director General of Police to depute an officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police in each district, who would be in overall charge of security of all centers in the district.
 
Sharma also asked the DGP to appoint a Sub-Inspector rank officer at every center in the state. He asked all officers to have zero tolerance for those resorting to practices like spreading rumors about the recruitment process, among others.
 
The written examinations for recruitment to Class IV and Class III posts will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, 2020. Assam(SEBA) on August 21 and August 28 respectively.
 
The examination for Class IV posts will be held in 24 districts while the examination for Class III posts will be held in 25 districts of the state.

Assam is well on course to ensuring universal health insurance. In this regard, Ayushman Bharat benefits will be extended to 58 lakh people. Additional 10,000 Govt appointments will be made in September. Assam is the first state in the country to undertake such an initiative.

Further, the CM said that Rs 10,000 crores will be provided for improving infrastructure in all Govt High and Higher Secondary schools in Assam. Speaking about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement, Sarma said self-help groups in the state have sold 42 lakh flags with a total cost of around 17 crores. The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign commenced on Saturday and will run till today. The programme envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their homes.
