CSIR – North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, a constituent establishment of CSIR, is a multidisciplinary institute having research areas like Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Materials Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Geological Sciences, etc. This institute is equipped with sophisticated state-of-art analytical and other equipment to carry out research activities in frontier areas of science & technology. Presently a large number of research activities are being carried out in CSIR and externally funded projects. Now, there is a requirement of a few Project Workers with the following specialization:

Qualification: MSc in Organic Chemistry with CSIR-UGC NET or GATE

Age: Max 28 yrs

Qualification: (i) Directly selected SRFs by CSIR with specialization in Organic Chemistry

(ii) NET/GATE qualified candidates having a minimum of 2 years of research experience after MSc with specialization in Organic Chemistry.

(iii) Non-NET/GATE qualified MSc with specialization in Organic Chemistry and having a minimum of 2 years of research experience.

Age: Max 32 yrs

Qualification: Those who have submitted PhD theses in Organic Chemistry may also be selected for provisionally for one year only pending award of PhD degree.

Age: Max 33 yrs

Qualification: PhD in Organic Chemistry

Age: Max 35 yrs

NB: The number of posts is tentative and may increase or decrease with the approval of the Competent Authority.

Designation: As per guidelines of Funding Agencies.

Stipend: As per sanction of Funding Agencies ranging from Rs. 12000/- to Rs. 36000/- per month

Duration: The project completion date may be extended depending upon the grant of the Funding agencies.

Venue: Area: Administrative Conference Room CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam

How to apply: Interested candidates having the above qualifications may like to appear in the walk-in-interview as per the scheduled date and time. Candidates are requested to bring with them all ORIGINAL TESTIMONIALS ncluding Marksheets and Certificates and also a Photograph to appear for the interview, failing which there candidature may not be considered. The selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon selection.

The engagement will be on purely temporary basis for specific period. It is co-terminus along with the duration of the project and will not confer any right for regularization in the institute. The Project Workers may be allowed to do his/her Ph D work based on CSIR guidelines. The candidates should have knowledge of computer for day to day work. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for the interview.
