Applications are invited for various administrative positions or careers in the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat. The Secretariat is seeking eligible candidates for seven vacant administrative positions on a regular basis.

The Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat is seeking qualified candidates for various administrative positions on a regular basis. Below are the details of the vacancies:

1. Additional Secretary

• Number of Posts: 1
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000-110,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 17,500/- per month in Pay Band-4, along with other admissible allowances.
• Qualification & Experience: Bachelor of Law with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

2. Protocol Officer

• Number of Posts: 1
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000-110,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 14,500/- per month in Pay Band-4, plus other admissible allowances.
• Qualification & Experience: Master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and at least 4 years of experience.

3. Language Reporter Grade-II

• Number of Posts: 2
• Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000-97,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 9,400/- per month in Pay Band-3, plus other admissible allowances.
• Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Arts / Science / Commerce with a Certificate of Stenography in Assamese.

4. Assistant Librarian

• Number of Posts: 1
• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000-70,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8,700/- per month in Pay Band-2, along with other admissible allowances.
• Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

5. Stenographer Grade-III (English)

• Number of Posts: 2
• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000-70,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8,700/- per month in Pay Band-2, plus other admissible allowances.
• Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Arts / Science / Commerce with a Certificate of Stenography.

Candidates are required to follow these steps to apply:

1. Visit the official website: www.assambidhansabha.org.
2. Navigate to the link provided for application submission.
3. Upload all relevant information and documents as indicated below:
   • Age proof certificate (Admit Card/Pass Certificate of H.S.L.C or equivalent examination) and a scanned copy of recent color photograph.
   • Certificate/Marksheet of qualification required for the concerned post.
   • Caste Certificate, if applicable, issued by competent authority.
   • NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the Head of the Department if applying through proper channel for appearing in the Walk-In Interview/Speed Test/Written Examination.
4. Candidates are reminded that they can apply for only one post.

Ensure all required documents are uploaded correctly and complete the application process within the specified deadline.

N.B.:

1. The list of eligible and shortlisted candidates for the Walk-In Interview/Speed Test/Written Examination will be uploaded on the official website, i.e., www.assambidhansabha.org, in due course of time. The date, time, and venue will be indicated therein. No separate calling letter shall be issued.

2. Canvassing, whether direct or indirect, shall lead to the disqualification of a candidate.
3. The Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat reserves the right to cancel or reject the candidature of any candidate found invalid, without any prior intimation thereof.
4. Candidates are required to bear the expenses for appearing in the Walk-In Interview/Speed Test/Written Examination by themselves. No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Dearness Allowance) will be admissible.

5. All appointments are subject to the provisions of the Rules of the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat. The decisions of the Appointing Authority shall be final.
