Educational Qualifications:
- Mandatory: A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- Preferable: Certification in a computer course for a minimum of three months OR Information Technology, or a related paper as one of the subjects at the graduation level or beyond is highly preferable.

Candidates should meet one of the following criteria:
- An officer with a minimum of five years of commissioned service in the Army/Navy/Air Force.
- A police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police with a minimum of 5 years of service as a Class – I Gazetted Officer in the Police Force.
- A candidate with a rank equivalent to or above Assistant Commandant with a minimum of five years of service as a Class – I Gazetted Officer in Paramilitary Forces.
Selection Procedure:
